We were fortunate to benefit from the experience and knowledge of leading market participants such as Bernd Stucken from Pinsent Masons who shared his experiences in China, Mark Chadwick from FTI Consulting talking on managing debt in Indonesia, Peter Taylor from Smythe Partners sharing insights on Myanmar and Paul Bradley from Caprica International talking on restructuring in Vietnam. We were also fortunate to hear from member Janet Geddes who has been undertaking a restructuring in Afghanistan and she shared her experience on the practicalities of the turnaround as well as the practical aspects of living and working in Afghanistan.

The day's sessions ended with a panel discussion with Chris Rolings of Mckinsey, Rupert Purser of Hill International and Brandon Gale of Houlihan Lokey covering topics such as the profile of a transformation and turnaround specialist in Asia, how to read the culture of an organisation when needing to execute strategic change management, how to work with family owned businesses and to help save face and differentiating between distressed companies and those in need of growth capital.

The Conference generated press interest and an article appeared in the Singapore Business Times on 17 June.

The Conference events kicked off the night before at a Cocktail Reception at the Tower Club generously sponsored by ATTA sponsor FTI Consulting. The event was a great opportunity for delegates to meet ahead of the Conference as well as network with others within the Singapore transformation and turnaround industry.

Thanks to all our speakers for making this a truly informative and thought-provoking event. With thanks to AmCham for the sponsorship of the venue for the Conference, FTI Consulting and in particular Nina Koh for their support and Salman Bokhari for organising the events.
